How to find your caucus and get accurate info

If you’ve never attended caucus before, that’s okay. Many people haven’t. Ask questions, listen, and take part at whatever level you’re comfortable with. Civic engagement doesn’t require perfection. It requires presence.

Local decisions are made by those who show up. If Pueblo’s future matters to you, caucus is one of the simplest ways to be part of shaping it.

First time attending caucus? Here’s what to expect.

Caucus is a neighborhood meeting, not a formal polling place. You’ll check in, meet other voters from your precinct, and take part in discussions about party priorities and local leadership.

What happens

  • You sign in and verify your party affiliation
  • Participants may nominate or discuss candidates and party platform issues
  • Some attendees volunteer to serve as delegates for later assemblies

What to bring

  • A valid ID
  • A willingness to listen, speak up if you want, and engage respectfully

Good to know

  • You do not need to be an expert on policy or politics
  • You are not required to speak or volunteer
  • Caucus is typically short and locally run, often at a school, library, or community space

If you’ve ever felt like decisions are made without everyday people in the room, caucus is one of the few moments where that isn’t true.
